Description

I may have shared a picture of Lily before in the last week, but I decided to try something different. Here is Lily with different lighting (One spotlight, only a bit of environmental), made some masks for photoshop (Imperfect but learning), and made some changes. :)

Thanks. :) It is definitely different than what I used to do. Before, I used to use After Effects (I was doing video before animating a full movie became too much) and the masks would use an alpha. Now, I have to get Daz to 1. Make the masks (no real internal ability which I find rather silly because Cinema 4D and Blender have this ability. Yes, I am aware of the Multipass tool in Daz store and I do have it, but the script itself I find doesn't serve my needs. So I manually use the resources from the product to set thing to black or white depending what mask I am making ;)) 2. Render mask correctly (I recently found out about the gamma, and had to hike it up a bit so I get clearer black and whites. Seriously Daz, just make a multipass part of the render process :P) .

Now, I will be the first to admit this image here has some issues. Part of the problem was: 3D Bridge to Photoshop. For some odd reason, it decided to make a new layer with a white background. So, plan: make the images separately, only use Bridge if I need texture work, and such.

However, the intrusiveness of these process had made me go: Yea, I need to game screenplay the scenes out. The reason is: To save masks, I have to use a script from Daz Multipass to convert from Iray shaders to Daz Default. To maintain a backup, I will create a similar name daz file with masks so I have the sequences I need in both, but one has iray and the other has the masking more or less.

Is it an ambitious project? YEP. However, I will go crazy if the ONLY thing I do is academic papers and teach cloud computing :P
