Description

I thank you all for looking, wish you all a nice Weekend, take care and stay healthy. My grandmother gave me this tip once: When times are tough, take small steps. Do what you have to do, but do it slowly. Don't think about the future or what may happen tomorrow. Clean the dishes. Wipe the dust off. Write a letter. Chef's soup. You see that? You go forward, step by step. Take a step and then pause. Take a rest. Cherish yourself. Take the next step. Then take another step. You'll hardly notice it, but your stride will become longer. Until the time comes when you can think of the future again without crying. (Elena Mikhalkova, "The Room of Old Keys".) PS. This image has been created with a capture of my dear friend Klaus (Hendesse) and a png tube, which I made from a picture of Tasha Tudor + PhotoDonut.

Klaus does beautiful photography (I used to visit his gallery regularly, some years back), and you used his photograph beautifully. The poem/song is beautiful, and speaks of a grandmother who has much wisdom. (And they're touching words, especially for this time of covid.) You gave the image a quiet yellow-green tint, it's gilded in an aged and cherished tone. And you placed the woman at the beginning of a long path, and she looks back into the forest, as if she knows that peace and wisdom await her there. Her shawl, sleeves and the leaves have a similar texture, so there is real harmony in your image. Beautifully done---longing, quiet and wise.
