I want to thank you all for your nice comments on all my previous images and I am very happy that you like my new mixed-medium style. It's just for a while, because I have to change my style from time to time, otherwise I'm not satisfied and I get bored..!

A real tribute to Marilyn Monroe and other women like her, from the 50s and 60s. You've given her a coy, tempting look, with her (gloved) hand touching her chest, and the other hand holding a mirror...and she seems to be catching a glance at herself, but she's too shy to look very long. (And she's wearing great net gloves.) And the colors here are fire red and deep orange tans, with deep red shadows. And you used heavy oil texture, as well as some pastel (chalk) textures. Beautifully done, Ute----and your crop is very tight, making this feel like an intense closeup. More terrific work from you.
