Description
Daz 4.12 Iray, Photoshop CS6
Just some character fiddling and trying out some new stuff.. I wasn't really planning on going anywhere with this one.
Nope, I lied, I'm rendering another version. I'll post it in a few days once I've fiddle-faddled it into shape.
And on other fronts, I've finally got an upgraded copy of PP 11.something. It's all installed and working so that's good. I have NO character content for LF and LH or whoever the poser popular figure is, but the default morphless characters seem ok. Superfly doesn't disappoint either, although I think it's slower than Iray. Now I need content and start re-learning Poser. Anyone who has good links to resources, preferably websites, pdf's and whatnot please send them my way.
I was also starting another scene and story for our own Lynn Perkins, but....it exploded. D-force...it's definitely a frenemy of mine.
On the local covid front, we're sitting at 5836 total cases in Alberta with 104 deaths. Here where I am in Edmonton we're at 503 total cases (including recovered) and 12 deaths. We've been locked down since the end of March, so the numbers show that it works. I know there are some of you who believe it's all a GUVMINT CONSPIRCY! (yeehaw). Our idiot, I mean Premier wants to end the lockdown and open everything up in a few weeks, despite the fact that every single health minister in Canada says that is completely idiotic. Compare us to Calgary, (similar size) 3905 cases, and 70 deaths. Social distancing measures and lockdowns of all non-essential services may be a royal pain in the ass, but they do work. I don't know about you, but I am not willing to martyr myself so the shops can open.
So far here, we are keeping it manageable. I kinda like to keep it that way.
Stay in, stay safe, and keep sane folks.

That is a fun character! I love that her skin looks almost irridescent. And Dforce and I don't get along, but if I read the instructions it probably would work better.:D If you need tuts for Superfly there are some good ones here on Renderosity and there is oddly a really nice one on the DS site, by a guy selling shaders--but it has fab pictures to go with it! Here's how to do sequins (what more does one need?)
Madbat
I used to have a pdf on making sequins for PP 2012 way back when. I think it came from RDNA. As far as d-force goes, it's really finicky. If it doesn't like the mesh, it explodes. If there's a poly or two intersecting, it explodes. If you speak sharply to it, it explodes. And sometimes, it just explodes in a huff just because. In this case, it hated everything and detonated like a grounded 16 year old on a Friday night.
The iridescence was a result of the lights and fiddling in lightroom and photoshop.
eekdog
fabulous character packing a attitude with her expression. guess the covid lockdown has gotten her a little stressed. super job. the US death toll continues at big rates and soon again more and more. we have the most cases and deaths then anyone. very scary here.
donnena
lovely image!! Some of the dForce explosions are kinda interesting.... mine are usually caused by the Base item intersecting itself.
Madbat
Mine are caused by intersections as well, especially if they have any kind of interior polygons. Items that have layers of things give consistent trouble.

Very cool character and outfit. Excellent!!!
starship64
Fantastic work.
Jean_C
Superb character, great work! You are right, health is precious, take care of you!
Here in France, the deconfinement is planned for May 11, with the opening of the schools too .... but it is still impossible to find masks to protect themselves ....And there have been more than 24,000 deaths!
Madbat
I'm surprised to hear you want to deconfine so soon after that many deaths!
ArtDeCroh
Outstanding creation ! Nice work!
Radar_rad-dude
Very sane and sensible advice to control the pandemic! Just wish there weren't so many damn fool idiots running around stirring things and and spreading their confusion! It is bad enough we are being visited by this virus but to make it worse by demanding your rights? What about my rights? From the fool's perspective, their's are the only rights worth talking about! A most excellent image here! Many fine kudos on its pleasing construction!

Fantastic done.

She's looking pretty foxy - and mebbe a tad dangerous as well.... Looking forward to the next incarnation of her! (I thought an incarnation was a country where no one ever left their cars.... But I digress)
I upgraded to 11.3 on my Origin laptop - so far everything is looking good. Haven't played with LF / LH as yet, but I'll get around to it sooner or later.. All my other stuff is in external runtimes, so all linked and working well.
Oh, jeeze.... You have an idiot too? They seem to run in packs these days.... I will admit this lockdown / stay at home / nothing open / wear a mask or get looked at like you're a terrorist / etc / etc / etc stuff has me about ready to step on kittens, but yeah... I'd rather go freaking apeshit for another month or three than wind up back in the same bucket of COVID poo, and have to go through all this again for another 10 - 12 months. I'm eventually going to run out of TP at some point... (no kittens were harmed in the making of this comment, BTW...)
Hang in there, bro!
Madbat
LOL, Rod you always give me a chuckle. As far as poser goes, it seems the same old program for the most part but this one runs a bit clunky on my old potato. So far though, everything seems to work at least.
As to quarantine, I'm a stay-at-home anyway, but it driving more outgoing people nuts it seems. But some just don't seem to care about other people getting this thing, that's not cool. I don't want to go through another 12 months of this either. I'd rather we deal with it properly and get rid of it, then pick up the pieces with most of the population still with us. 1918 provided a clear lesson on what CAN happen if we don't take this seriously.
Madbat
Oh, version 2 is ready to go. It's not spectacular, but it should be a bit amusing.
bucyjoe
like her bald head
Madbat
Me too, it's different looking. I blame Persis Khambata in ST The Motion Picture for the influence.
UteBigSmile
She's a sexy thing!

Great looking character, nicely done.

This is what I call an attractive curvy woman....What ? The new Poser is slower than IRay ? How is it possible...if they don't offer something better,, they're dead !
Madbat
Well, to be fair, I'm using an old potato to render with.

On the note of clothing l'Homme and La Femme I have a tip. If you have a '* bunch** of V4 and M4 clothing in the closet. Buy four of the EvilInnocence CrossDresser 4 licenses. One each for M4, V4, l'Homme, and La Femme. The converter program is free. I think they run about $10.00 per license. You can convert M4 / V4 clothing to l'Homme, and La Femme. Send me a site main and i can share more with you.

Cool render, and thanks for the effort (and nerve) of pointing out the undeniable effectiveness of social distancing measures once again. It's probably not going to do too much for people who have set their minds dead on some conspiracy crap, but still: facts and figures are the best weapon against... well... against any sort of BS, really.
