my half brother has MDS https://www.mds-foundation.org/what-is-mds/ it probably happened when he had cancer last time and received a lot of chemo-therapy/ radiation he is in his 80's but if he was younger he would have a better chance of being able to live longer and withstand the treatment. he can not get the treatment again he had for cancer. he has had several traumatic things in his life besides cancer twice, his wife dying from cancer among other things that was gut wrenching

I'm terribly sorry about your half-brother, Richard, and I wish him all the comfort in the world. I'm familiar with MDS, and know it's a cancer that effects bone marrow (and blood production), and I'm terribly sorry your half-brother got it (as you say, probably because of his previous chemo treatments). From what you say, he's been through catastrophic experiences, and this is yet more. I hope he has comfort and peace, and that the doctors can help him in some way. And I wish you strength in dealing with it, as well...you've had a lot on your plate of late. I'm sorry it's been such a hard time for you...lots of healing wishes to all of you, Richard.

Your photo is spectacular...it's vast and beautifully detailed, and so typical of your landscapes. Let its vastness and primal beauty be a testament to, and comfort for your half-brother. I wish him, you, and all his other loved ones, peace and healing. Take care.

The expression "Health is so precious," gets its full meaning, there. We feel your sadness about your half-brother; I express my hope for the best possible outcome for him. How can we look at this beautiful landscape, without thinking of your half-brother? That makes us pause for meditation.
