Description

Render Engine: Zbrush Actually I am brand new with Zbrush never used it before. I just got the software Zbrush 2019 3 days ago. This is my fifth attempted head creation and my first Polypainted head. Polypainting takes a long time but is easy to do. I watched some tutorials on YouTube on how to use the tools. This is my own creation from my own imagination after learning how some of the basic brushes and hotkeys worked. I am very surprised and amazed how fast you can create something from just a grey sphere. Most importantly I sculpted this using a Microsoft Trackball. I have created many organic models in Lightwave and 3D Studio max using Polygons and NURBS (Non-uniform Rational B-Spline) but never sculpted as you do in Zbrush. I have even created an F16 in 3D Studio Max and Hexagon at the same time. They were identical but different tools. I have also created a 747 and a Teddy bear in Blender watching a couple of tutorials. Compared to Polygon and NURBS, sculpting is a lot easier and faster and more detailed when it comes to organic characters but cannot be used in animation without some work reducing the mesh or point count. I will hopefully in the near future complete an entire character and body instead of just the head. I still have a lot to learn. Of course since it is sculpted it will not be poseable so I will have to sculpt it into the pose I want. Thanks for looking and thank you for your comments; Post work: Photoshop. I downloaded the snake eyes and copied and pasted and blended onto this character.

Yikes! You scared me! This is unique, terrifying, and straight into the uncanny valley. This is a masterpiece of an alien head! This can be a great villain, or even a hero! Congratulations for that very unique creation!

This is pretty amazing-looking work for an early attempt. Actually makes me consider taking a look at Zbrush myself. 😉

.....Never used Zbrush before.....

Holy frack, dude! Obviously a Force Wielder you are.... This is fantastic! Although I wouldn't want to run into this guy in a dark alley... For a first try, this is totally amazing!

I recently downloaded Blender, but haven't delved in to any degree just yet..

Thanks RodS for your appreciative comment. I really enjoy using ZBrush and will be posting more eventually. Blender is a very cool and powerful 3D software. On YouTube Blender Guru is the best at tutorials for me. I may upload the 747 I made in Blender watching one of his tutorials. Thx again. 😀
