I remember scenes like this in your earlier posts. This is almost minimal (even though it has a lot of detail). The track, lawn, and lines of the stadium make a very simple, minimalistic vision, and your way with morning colors (which we see in so many of your sidewalk shots) makes it a pastiche of a few simple colors too. (Love that amber-orange-tinted sand color.) It's a beautiful shot, with those obelisk-like trees in the background as if some ancient temple is lurking back there. And the two lone runners give it a human element...the openness of the shot make them seem like the only people on earth. Another of your wonderful studies of line, form and hue. And the shadows on the track only add to the minimalist feeling of the piece...You've been absent the last few days, I hope you're doing ok, Harry, and holding on through this viral deluge (not to mention through your own health problems). Take good care.
