Render Engine: Blender
I made this in June 2016 watching a tutorial by Blender Guru on YouTube. This was my very first time using Blender and my very first creation in Blender. Although it is not my own personal creation it was not easy because I still had to learn the software and where the tools where. The tutorial is over 2 hours long. I used my experience with Lightwave, 3D Studio Max and Hexagon to help me and made some minor embellishments of my own to this model. It is not a beginners tutorial. Also, the painting was done in Photoshop which I am familiar with and is my own. This is a polygon model of course. I have made a fuzzy bear also in blender but those are the only two models I made in Blender. Blender is a really good 3D modeling and animation software and it is free.
Thanks for looking and commenting.

I've seen some of his tutorials, and I really need to get motivated and sit down with Andrew's donut tutorial.. I have Blender, I just need to get my butt motivated...

Excellent !

Fantastic work. An airline that's as fast as the Flash would be really something.

Stunning atmosphere, looks so realistic and the lighting is great. But my question is why would Barry Allen need his own airline company? maybe running everywhere gets a little tiring. Good job Omni

I have used Blender in 2005, only for modeling the Astroport in my Ionivka series; I found it difficult to use. I am impressed by what you can do with it. Beautifully made aircraft with its comic-style painting job on it. Breathtaking scene!

Interesting backstory for sure. I feel you, Blender can be a pain in the posterior to get into, no matter what CGI background you may have.
By now, I wouldn't want to trade it in for anything, though. It's very powerful. It's very free. Oh, and it's going to hurt your brain every step of the way. And I mean, hurt it a lot. And just when you're about to believe you're becoming a seasoned Blender user, they'll roll out a version that changes literally everything for the sake of making it more user-friendly. Including the hotkeys. Yeah, thanks for making me feel like a complete moron again.
But still, wouldn't want to trade it in for anything else. For all I care, Blender is my industry standard. It's just that the industry hates me, so it's nice to have a hard, reliable honest-to-John open-source software that doens't even pretend to not hate me. Every proprietary publisher would immediately try to hide their contempt for me under some flashy, seemingly intuitive interface that's only going to break your balls after two hours of work. Blender doesn't shy away from telling you what it is right away. Love it.

Nicely done! Love your custom "paint job"! I open Blender every few months, try to figure some stuff out, and then go back to my favorite modeler (Cheetah3D for Mac). But Blender has some tools that Cheetah doesn't, so eventually I'll need to knuckle down and follow a tutorial or two like you did!
