Description
As many of you know the Ancestor Books by Mark Lawrence have pretty taken up most of my gallery since last year. This render doesn't look like much, but it is significant to me. I developed the coin and amulet symbol here as part of completing a set of poker cards which are all themed around the artwork.
The Poker card set will be printed through Kickstarter because all money raised will go to the care of my disabled nephew. I've nearly completed the card set, I'm getting excited about the finish line!
My dream is to illustrate the omnibus for the trilogy- well, I can dream! :0)
The icon is the 'Tree of the Ancestor' combined with the 'Sword of the Missing'. A simple symbol for the legendary Sisters of Sweet Mercy.
Thank you for looking and your comments.

Like the font you used and all the embossed work. Good job on the medaillon and the coins as well - hope your cards sell well.
I would like to add one thought: the texture of the main emblem on the book looks somewhat modern (for an application I would expect a metallic surface, or, if embossed a matte color and most of all it would look worn/used, like the rest of the book.) But then again, the name of the author is a modern one, too.
Props and book together are a nice ensemble and surely a great tribute to the books.

Hi RRun, yes, I agree that the symbol should be having a more worn look. It's always good to have fresh eyes on your work. Thank you!
