Congratulations Dee, on winning artist of the month. You deserve it in spades, your work has always been filled with light and love and play, and a lot of classy and sensitive artistry, and I'm glad the site has honored you for all you've posted here. This model has the air of a 19th C. heroine, lost in thought, maybe in memory, and you've given her a beautiful rust-tinged, slightly orange and brown skirt (or lower portion of her dress) (I'm describing it in paint terms, not fashion terms---I'm sure there's a single name for that hue, in fashion), hues which climb up her torso, and morph into whites and (surprisingly) some olive greens. Her hair is fairy-tale golden with cream and platinum tones. The background is a soft-focus fairy tale scene, with lots of fall hues (maybe because it's fall where you are?) and a beautiful use of geese. I see you've done a number of single portraits of late, which you do with equal sensitivity and beauty...Your deep yellowed "irising"---the greenish yellow mist you place around the upper edges and sides (and in the entire bottom), frames everything like a dream. ("Irising" from the photographic iris.) Very sensitively done, with your usual magic way with colors. Congratulations, and I hope you and your loved ones are doing well, and staying healthy through the pandemic.
