Description

Ok! These crazy, off-the-wall variations are my bow to Steve's ultra vivid and incredibly inventive colors, and his designs, and everything else. (The 'music' of his images---and I don't mean just his musical subjects, which are great, but the music-of-his-images. They're like big ear-popping concerts.) He also works terrifically with dark: He gets vivid, piercing hues even in shadows and night scenes. And he does great things with costumes and tattoos. He creates terrific bold postures (such bold expression and attitude!), and great use of objects and backgrounds, like photo-studio work...I've told Steve he's as good as a lot of the CD Cover and Poster designers I've seen. His images are eye feasts. But---he's also a genuinely kind and giving soul, and he makes us feel loved and affirmed every time he's here. In a time like the present (covid), that's the best. Even when he's been through a lot, he always brings us sunlight each time he comes here... So Happy 63d, Steve, and many more! I could see from the start that you're loved here, and you deserve it. I hope you have many more birthdays in the best of health and inner strength; and thanks for being one of jewels on RR. Blessings and joy to you, now and always, and may you stay healthy and glowing always! mark (i'll comment again tomorrow) ------------------

Very cool, a 3rd set for Steve! Awesome colors and effects in them all. They collectively look like someone with binoculars is watching; not in a creepy but in a helpful and concerned way. While they look, they are painting the world with splashes of color and light where ever it is needed. The trees, the windows, and the light all come together for a series of warm and uplifting images when the "watcher" is finished painting. Very cool work, Mark!

A true set of fireworks to wing up a beautiful trio of images for our good friend Steve!

Your words have hit the nail on the head, Mark! Steve is truly an inspiration as well as a good friend! As you said, it's always a treat to see what he comes up with, and he never disappoints! Even his "dark" images are masterworks filled with light.

Happy Birthday, Steve, and many, many more!

Well, you covered it all in your text salute above to Steve, Mark. All that's left are your incomparable panels of Chicago to comment on. I don't have the extensive vocabulary to properly describe them all, in fact I wonder if I should even try considering my condition of 92 year old brain fog. Stunning cosmos of colorful and reverse image LSD effects in each panel, my friend. Glad you liked this mind blowing excursion above and through the Windy City, Steve.

Well, You hit your own record in awesomeness. That is something. Another fantastic variation and abstract, like only YOU can do it. WOW!! Gorgeous artwork :)

So very sci-fi. So many intervening Realities, more and more, until the Reality we think we know has been overtaken by Otherness. A curious and warm infusion. Each moment very different, bit never scary somehow.

Very exciting and VIBRANT. There are just oodles of life and energy here, bringing me a vibe that is a mix of the 60s/70s and a cyberpunk feel. Excellent work.
