Description

I've done a test animation for improvement and refamiliarization with iClone, the animation program I have. There are still a few problemos, a bit of tweening (snapping) and collisions with things, motions might need a bit of tweaking and a bit of this and that added. But this is more or less it. Good stuff, moebius !! I've been SO wanting to get into animation but I find the process tedious (and therefor boring) as well as daunting. Throw in the huge files that result and I've so far stayed on the sidelines. I'll take a look at iClone (unless it's for a Mac. I'm in the Intel world). Did you try Daz's built-in animation tools? Did you find them lacking? Thanks for leading the way :-)

Hey, Rtesian, thanks :) Well iClone is a bit pricey plus the resources and add-ons are too much in their prices to be honest. I got iClone through a special offer on Renderosity but I almost certainly won't be spending much on anything from iClone. Maybe the odd thing here and there. Most of the DAZ assets can be imported to iClone through it's Character creator and animations from DAZ are transferrable though 3D Exchange.

Animating through Unreal 4 is probably the best and cheapest option for now. It's free and it's just a metter of converting DAZ stuff into the UE4 Engine.

DAZ animation is not great, I've found anyway. Too slow.

iClone is for PC, but pricey if you wanna go full "hog" :)

Cool stuff, just needs a few tweaks like his hand on the sword. A part of me wants to see their souls getting pulled into the sword, a little extra work eh...
