I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

Delightful... So, you're give us a little woody! They look excellent!
I understand your frustration... I often have to go back to the source I downloaded a product from to get clues as to where to find it in my libraries. Unfortunately, I often find out it's something I lost in my hard-drive crash and couldn't restore because its either no longer supported by DAZ3d or due to RuntimeDNA's demise.

I love how even the hair translated perfectly into wood! It's too bad there is no easy way to laser cut this into a real sculpture!

Oh, I would sooooo love to have this as the base for a table lamp! 😄

farking wow! what a cool idea Rod. I've thought about a wooden texture for models but never tried to accomplish one. dang you hit it on the mark. one trophy I would like on my shelf. yeah hard to keep the head up high with this covid amongst us everywhere. hard for me also from being bummed out.

Cool work, Rod. Good wood is knot easy

Beautiful results with these ladies! Wonderful texture and excellent presentation art work! I can relate to your frustrations in not finding runtime content. I have hit that wall many times over the years. For instance, my recent 'did somebody order a taxi' piece needed the taxi, of all things. I remembered getting it free somewhere and I knew I had it. Like you, I searched and tried all the key words I could think of to assist in the search but nothing came up. I was ready to give up when a little brain fart went off in my puny little half a brain cell i still have left that still functions (sometimes-lol) and look in that area and was ultimately rewarded with finding the taxi but it didn't have the word taxi in its description, so that was why I couldn't find it. Well, I put a copy of it in another location (probably will lose that one too-lol) but as you can see, you aren't the only one having these problems. Thanks for sharing. Hope you see many many more happier times and that the dark cloud leaves you alone for good! Take care my friend and thanks for all your kindnesses in commenting on my stuff. Loved the Disney reference in my recent box image. Really made my day!

My High School shop projects never came out looking ANYTHING like this !!!! Excellent work, my friend . . . . . . I'm sure these two are responsible for a lot of "wood," out there in cyber-land ! ! ! ! ! !

Wood..... 🤣😁😄

What a great idea, Rod...it's nice to experiment with different textures and this came out nicely...know what you mean when trying to find something that you got ages ago--sometimes I spend more time looking for something than I actually spend on a scene--very annoying

I knew this would turn out great, Rod. It was great talking to you a couple of nights ago.
Take care and stay safe.

wow, for a minute I thought I was seeing a Giuliano image (guilband)! I love this, Rod. I never imagined your characters in solid wood (or stone, ceramic, whatever): They look mythic! G4 looks like she's reaching for the stars, or one of those worker-statues celebrating their labors for the world. Ar (I assume that's Ar---could it be Kinnie?) looks like she just walked out of a mythic ocean, and her stance really feels statuesque. You gave the wood a slightly gold/bronze tint, which makes it all the more like a statue. And the beveled "TNA" feels monumental too. I love this, Rod! Your background moves from a deep cream-peach tone to a more bronze-ish version, and you use a stucco texture, like this is in front of a museum wall. And the guitar seems like a strange plough or tool for harvesting! Terrific. (I can see their clothes and boots; but the wood makes them seem all-of-one material.) Terrific job, Rod!
I understand how your house and digital work slows you up. As for your feelings of depression, that's understandable too...Just remember you're a beacon of joy and inspiration here, and everyone responds to you with great gratitude and reception. That isn't to say you shouldn't be exhausted by this endless pandemic: just to say you can bask in the love while you weather it. This image almost seems like defiance...I wish you tons of it. Take care, your light is much appreciated here!

Rod, this was a cool idea for an image. I’m sorry to hear about the troubles you’ve went through recently, and I will put you in my prayers. I am also not around as much now as I had to take a second job when this virus hit.
