Description

Homer's Iliadde begins by mentioning Achilles' deadly anger, this is the feeling I wanted to describe with this image. Cantami o Diva del Pelide Achille l'ira funesta In your language there are certainly perfect translations of these first verses of Homer's work. For this reason I do not make one of my not so good here but I recommend a search to you.

This is a unique "art of war." The brush looks like a lance, and the gray-colored painter's palettes look like a shield and armor. Interesting concept!

The best French translation is this of the poet Leconte de Lisle in 1866 :

"Chante, Déesse, du Pèlèiade Akhilleus la colère désastreuse, qui de maux infinis accabla les Akhaiens, et précipita chez Aidès tant de fortes âmes de héros, livrés eux-mêmes en pâture aux chiens et à tous les oiseaux carnassiers."

But nothing beats the original in Greek!

Interesting choice of props for this depiction. Also prophetic from the POV over here right now with the riots and continued injustice. The division, hate and anger on all sides in the U.S. is truly terrible these days.
