Thank you all for your comments. This picture is my first attempt to use zero ambient light. Thanks to nggalai for his excellent tutorial (see his home page in the vue tutorial section, it's really cool). To answer to deadhead about the DOF : I have increased the contrast around the flowers after the jpeg compression.
