Description

my live oak in my backyard was getting way to big, so I decided to have tree cutter to remove it. it was expensive but i did not want it to do damage to my foundation or roof. I expect it was between 45 to 50 feet tall. I counted 14 rings to the center. one root under ground is more than 12 inches wide. he did the work yesterday and I fixed my fence today because we took down a section to make it easier for them to carry to the front curb for city monthly pickup. when they drop the trunk in the trailer, it will make a very loud sound. Bodie lost his shade, but I am going to fix something for him for protection from the sun

Ooh, yeah, it's expensive to have a tree taken down. We had ours removed last year. The insurance company wanted to drop us because of the tree. They gave us the policy with the tree there... Anyway, you will feel safer with that big tree gone.

Looks like this fellow is definitely earning his fee... One mis-step way up there, and it would not end well for him! Very cool shot, Richard!

Yeah, last time we had one taken out it was not cheap!

listening to his machine for removing the trunk base for 40 some minutes, he certainly earned the fee for that part. I told him that he better get some ear protection or take the chance on having hearing loss like me. I refuse to pay the outrageous prices for hearing aids. I could buy a really awesome desktop with money left over. so many people has told me that they have a $5000.00 hearing aids at home that they do not use

My wife says Wal-Mart has a very nice little canopy for not a lot of money. Might work for Bodie. Might get one myself for our backyard so we can sit in the shade more during the daylight hours. Nice photo and I'm sure you are glad not to have to work about this tree being blown down into your neighbors house in a wind storm? We had an old evergreen removed a few years ago. I was worried about it doing that in a storm. Had estimates to remove it as high as a couple thousand dollars. That guy wanted to bring in a big crane and cut the tree off at the base and lift it out that way. I didn't like the cost of that estimate and told him I'd get back to him. Never did. I gradually started cutting dead and dying limbs off myself for a couple years. Then we got a little card taped to our door. Some guy was looking for work. We called him up and he and his crew removed the tree for $350.00. I thought that was a real bargain. I'm so relieved it isn't a danger to anyone anymore. But now, like you, I need to replace the shade. LOL!
