Nicely done. The elements of the composition work in great harmony and the combination of 40s/50s film noir elelments (the shadow, old style swivel chair, mechanical typewriter) are a nice counterppoint to the reverie of Egypt, and Baast in the foreground.

Thank you very much for your comments. You're right, little by little, this allusion to the writer, was imposed from the cruise ship on the nile. However, the staging is largely fictitious, there are no very precise biographical elements.

Je ne sais pas si le contenu de la tasse est illicite (au vu de la vapeur, on se demande), mais ce qui a déclenché mon image est là : je voulais que la vapeur de la tasse rejoigne celle du steamer sur le poster. Passer un moment de détente, en soi-même, faire du bien à ses sens (j'adore toutes sortes de thés) suffit à faire partir son imaginaire en voyage. Je voyais plutôt le chat comme un gardien bienveillant, comme un contrepoint à l'ombre d'Anubis qui plane sur le mur. Merci encore pour tes commentaires.
