Color vs B&W is a constant and frequent debate with myself. I always feel I don't pay enough attention to monochrome opportunities. Here, I come down decidedly on the side of color but only because of the subject. Pirates, IMHO, should only be color. Love the character expression !! :-)

Although portraits usually come out good in b&w, this color version is the one I prefer. The colors enhance the background which is less prominent in the monochrome version. Thanks for a sharing both.
