Description
This illustrates my poem of the same name, inspired by an Airstream Convention that I saw in the Smokey Mountains.

Awesome image - I don't know the poem - but this is so cool.

This might well be the most bizarre imagery my brain had to try and process today, and I just finished today's attempt at reading a William Hope Hodgson story. Whether this is a good or a bad thing, I'm not entirely sure, but it certainly is interesting.

The Valley of the Silver Turtles
by Jack Ryan
Crawling slowly up the mountain road and down the other side. Through the clouds, trees, over the gurgling stream.
Dozens, hundreds, methodically pressing on. An orgy of silver flashing in the sun.
Jostling, each seeking a nesting place then resting in the valley among the Smokey Mountains. The Airstream Convention.

The deer must be thinking, "WTF? I've never seen these mobile food dispensers with turtle legs before!"
