I know you've lost children, and I know that it was--and still is--devastating. And also, as you said to AngelDragon, this image is also about our inner child. The woman in the background is like a mother seeking her lost children---maybe she's seeking her own inner child. But then, maybe that woman is also a lost child, herself...you leave your image "open," so we can see it many ways. The children in the foreground seem 'passed into another world', yet they have each other...and they seem to be sharing profound secrets, which perhaps no one else can understand. Your colors are the colors of loss---gray-blues, whites, and slate blues...And you have a floor with debris and broken glass...and the land outside the window is like a moon-scape: It's primal and vast. With a vast, stormy sky. This image evokes deep emotion. And somehow the children---dressed in convent clothing---feel very pure...perhaps they have peace, even in loss...Very powerful and evocative, Ute.
