Description
for the muse of my artist friend Giulband
(reflection of a tall dead tree) in a
birdbath
The tiny whitecaps
bare their rotten teeth
all morning
as wind berates rainwater,
as razors of rain
gash its surface
and then the thunder
takes back its threats
and the water in the birdbath
lies smooth enough to skate on,
lies like a mirror
holding up a silver airplane
while it crosses the sky safely,
all its people
drinking from their plastic cups.

... your "magic" of art is an interesting and confusing subject for me, with many surreal concepts presented here in Rendo... sometimes needing an echo, as music complements a Spring morning...
Our perception / focus normally requires a narrow band of concentration for varying distances, yet a simple layer of water can combine all focal lengths into a single clear image ... may sadness and heartbreak remain unfocused for all.
