Its original elvish name of Ohèvjila meant "Eternal Tower". The name was given because of the monumental marble tower in the middle of the college, rising in the sky in a 300 meters spiral. Large of 50 meters, its presence enforced the respect. Legend says that the tower goes as deep in the ground that it goes high in the sky. If it's true, even the most powerful magicians never found the door leading to the depths. Nobody remembers who built the tower and for what purpose. Some says it was the Gold Elves, ancestors of all the actual elves. Some others say that it was the Gods themselves who built it. The university and the city built around it were once belonging to the High Elves, but they lost the territory during the great war against humans and dwarves, milleniums ago. With time, the name of Ohèvjila evolved and transformed into Aubejolie. The geographical emplacement of the university is around halfway the Guild of Adventurers in the south and the port city of Du-Salut in the north. Some magician elves can be found in the university, but most of them learn magic in the College of Riaenva, in Pâminaguena, an island in the west. As for dwarves, they are incapable of using conventional magic. Thus the university is mostly populated with humans. Magic users are rare in the world and the ability to use Magic usually woke up at adult age. Rarer are the teenagers capable to do it and even rarer are the children. That's why, in her time, Delphine was the only child studying at the University. Back to the Wood Elf clan of Yoluhudjèd. Minalva and Romatzo didn't lose time gathering their stuffs. Soon after noon they were ready to go. The continent of Hvittland was very cold and they didn't had clothes suited for it, but they would get the occasion to bought some before arriving to Marina and Sigrid's birthplace. It took several hours of deep concentration and spell chanting for Delphine to open the transportation portal that would lead them to Aubejolie. It will also let her drained of magical power for at least a day. She was a powerful magician, but it was spells like that that showed how Omdeo was largely above everyone. Opening a hole between two spaces was not given to every wizards and even for the best, it took time and energy. But as for the old magician, he could do it in a snap. Delphine could have had decided to return to the Guild instead of going for the university of Aubejolie, but terrible events that happenend to Sigrid's family gave her the urge to see her parents again even if it was only for few hours. She felt guilty and selfish for this decision, so before leaving for Minalva's clan, she talked in private of it with Marina. Her friend was comprehensive and said to her that from the moment it was not delaying too much their arrival to Hvittland it was okay. While Delphine was casting her spell, Yalza, Minalva's mother, took Romatzo apart and had a long discussion with him. When Romatzo came back to the group, Minalva, curious, tried to know what they have talked about. He said it was nothing important, but by the way he was avoiding her eyes, she knew it was a lie and it gave her an idea of what her mother had told him. But the fear blocked her to ask him confirmation and it was not the right time anyway because Delphine finally opened the portal. ________________________________________ I have tried something different here with this establishing shot. Because there is not characters, I have the feeling it gave me a greater liberty to talk about the place, instead of concentrating mostly on the story, even if the story part is longer than the description of Aubejolie. By saying that Dwarves can't use conventionnal magic, I mean that they can't use it like magicians, but they can use magical objets or even craft them. The render was done since almost one week ago, but I took my time to write the text once again. For the info, the Tower, will probably change of appearance in the future, even it's proportions might change too. I'm still working on it. It's actually a very small town and shouldn't be on an overall world map.
