This is very cool. The bumps on the Earth seem a bit strong, but it's a beautiful picture overall.

Thanks for your positive comments... mjustmike, I made the bump strong to simulate the viewers closeness to earth, hmmmm, but maybe I could of scaled the bumps down a bit but then I wouldn't of got the same effect. Wagner, I mapped a Earth map onto a shpere, then click on the bump tab and right click the fuction window and choose edit fuction, in this window choose Mapped values and load your grey scale, have a play around with the options to get the effect your after. Then in the original Material window check the mix material box and add your cloud map, make sure you check "Object Space" in all windows or the maps will be fixed and you won't be able to rotate the planet.

Hehe i love sci-fi!I have to go with mjustmike about the earth bump,but that moon is Fantastic!!! Hehe this is why i dont go looking and commenting on others work,i go and get all jellous! :)
