Description

(better zoomed) I rarely post 2 in a day, but I can't be here everyday right now, so I'm posting 2... (Would you believe this was originally a photo of a glass? Poor glass...) Two things... I'm under the weather, so I may be here on and off for a few weeks. I hope to be back regularly after that... Second: I know some of the protesters here in chicago; and very many of them do NOT want violence, rioting and looting. Many of them are appalled at what the violent people have done. It destroys all that the protesters are marching for. Several of the protesters I know have police in their families, and they're marching for equality and fairness, etc. They're of all races and ethnic backgrounds too...but so are the rioters: There are young whites and blacks in the violent groups, there are people who join protests and use them as "cover" so they can steal merchandise. There are also organized groups---on the left and the right---who try to make protests look like shams. And there are plain criminals...Please remember the good ones: They're there too, and many of them are agonized by what the violent ones have done; and the good ones are in much larger numbers than the violent ones want us to think. Be well, all, and here's to more peaceful times for all, m ------------------

forgive me Mark from your first post to wish you well and glad it's a flu bug instead of covid. very happy that it is not serious. even though the flu also is. I was very concerned when you did not reply to my email amid the major violence that is going on in your fair city. was not sure how close you are to the riots, and demonstrations. did have me thinking about you. i'm back from jiffly lube after 6 hours of waiting and problem was not fixed. but this site sticks to the estimate I was quoted of 88.00 + tax and that's what I paid for that huge long service. i'll write you later tomorrow, got to get ready for bed soon.

your three images are mind blowing super my friend, hard to imagine it being glass as you typed. looks more like a birds eye view of a volcano center with active lava. I love em' all but the first is most appealing. the software you use is super. if I knew how to use photoshop better I might be able to come close to your super manips. Mark. keep up the awesome job my friend. stay safe and wish you well. God Bless you.

but right now i'm just,, well let you know when I write.

A glass, I do not see, however, I do see faces. Sad faces. I think all good people are sad right now. The first one has pretty purple pieces that are deep and soft but the temperature is rising. The second one his hot and angry with bright and powerful colors that look like full-blown fever. The third is calmer and pleasantly warm, the fever has passed and quiet healing begins. These three faces want to pull the covers over their head and hide. But we must not hide; we must stand up for what is right. I'm sorry people you know are mixed up in the violence when all they want is what is right.

Take care, my friend. Be safe, get healthy and hang on to the good things.

I only see the protesters on TV, but I know that the ones doing the damage could care less about the death of the man in police hands. I would not doubt that some radical democrats are paying money to people to riot and make their bond money. politics are dirty and it was brought out that they were paying demonstrators at other demonstrations.

your art is outstanding

Thanks as always, Richard. Unfortunately, there have been infiltrations from all sides in many of these events over the years (from what reporters have uncovered), and probably from foreign influence as well. (In an open country like ours, we're prone to interference whenever we show vulnerability in front of the world.) Also, there are unaffiliated people who just want to steal, destroy or take advantage; and a large protest gives them 'cover'. It's just awful: They get their kicks by 'crashing' these events---it's almost like "spring break" to them. Tonight, we saw a lot of positives however, incl police and protesters holding hands. I hope that is our future. Stay well and safe, by all means.

Well, I don't see any sign of a glass--what I thought it was is a grasshopper :) Very pretty though, Mark--love all those vibrant colors.

The protestors have been infiltrated by likely Boogaloo Bois and organized crime groups who have insinuated themselves into the protestors to cause mayhem and destruction which would be blamed on the protestors...I have been watching these guys very carefully when they have been arrested in NYC--they cover up their bodies and faces but many forget to cover up their hands, which are not those of black people but are white. Not that some people of color are not looting, but as you note, they aren't the real protestors...The right-wing wants to blame "antifa" which is an amorphous group whose aim is to fight fascism, such as the white nationalist, fascist group who marched in Virginia last summer carrying torches and chanting "Blood and Soil, The Jews will not replace us." By the way, this whole MAGA thing is a white nationalist dog whistle.

It is worth to open full size and yes with glass all is possible in photography - its great in colors and I like your post work!

For the unruly times I do hope that there are people and leader who are able to give calm and order in one - of course there are always serious interested against serious destructive, what a salad in your country. Take care and stay health and safe!

I love these three colorful and wonderful panels, Mark! And I do hope you're feeling better, buddy. I saw your post earlier for our anniversary, and it was wonderful - thank you so much from both of us!

All this chaos, all the sinister infiltrations from outside anarchist groups, paid "political" elements, calls for stronger measures, and a more 'military' attitude towards the general public is a bit scary. It sounds disturbingly close to a certain sci-fi world we're all familiar with.. I keep waiting for the guy in the black helmet and cape to appear...
