Description

Now it's time to tell the heroic story of VMF 211 on Wake Island. In November 1941, VMF-211 embarked 12 of its 24 F4F-3 Wildcats and 13 of its 29 pilots aboard USS Enterprise for movement to Wake Island, the scene of the squadron's heroic battle. On 4th December they flew to Wake Island. 211-F-11 in this picture belonged to Captain Henry T. Elrod, becoming the first Marine airman to be awarded the Medal of Honor in World War II. To be continued... Well, Wake Island is my first terraforming project, LOL. The whole island was made by me.

Really nice job! When I was in the Marines, my first duty station was on Okinawa and while there, I actually got to go to Wake island. You did a great job with it. Any way we can buy the island from you? I need a good island to do some WW2 renders. Or will it be available to purchase? Thanks and again, great job.
