This was a rare moment for these two. Bernie was always a bit frightened of Rupert (ginger). They were both from the same rescue centre, where I used to volunteer one day a week. I met Rupert there & he was always nice to me :o))) that changed when he came home :o))). I always wanted a ginger cat & asked if we could adopt him (we had just lost Thomas). I later rang them and asked if we could adopt another cat that got on with Rupert :o))) I was amazed at how much Bernie looked like Thomas & soon learn't that Rupert & Bernie didn't really get on. Not Bernies fault I hasten to add. Rupert as I have said before let nothing phase him, frightened of nothing. Bernie on the other hand was a bit timid & a worrier. Bernie used to make us laugh because whenever Rupert went out in the front garden, Bernie always followed, he felt safe as no one messed with Rupert. After Rupert passed away for awhile little Bernie always hesitated at the front door, when asked to go out, as his protector was no longer there to look after him. Bless him he always preferred the back garden, where he had the girls. Thanks for the lovely comments, so appreciated. x
