Description

The top one is from end 2015, the scene file is i lost all my reders made before september 2018. While changing my disk setup of my PC i forgot that my render gallery was on the disk setup (expanded disk). But the scene files (that i didn't forget to backup) those i still have. So the top one minus the hair on the head of Micheal 6, is how it looked in 2015. The bottom on is with the thing i learned on the way.

interesting again, though I must confess to favouring the old render as it is sharper and without the DoF

I know, some time ago i got some flak for not using DOF.

Interesting comparison, again! I am not a fan of DOF; I use it only for simulating a camera picture. When we look around us with our eyes, there is no such thing as DOF, because the image is being built in our brain from many fast-adjusting eyes actions.

Excellent. I like both images, I think, when used correctly, DOF can help draw your eyes to a focal piont in an image. It's more of an artistic thing than a realistic thing. Either way well done.

Awesome, I love DOF sometimes, sometimes not. Sometimes I love the real feel, and sometimes I don't. Learned along time ago not to worry. make the images pleasing to yourself, and if someone else likes it well that's a plus.
