The imminent threat was now avoided. Allis was in a room with a male leisure agent and starting to dissipate the massive back-block of magical energy. It might not have been the best way, but it was the safest way to de-energize Allis without burning her out as a mage. That and it would be physically enjoyable as well as mentally relaxing. As marondaria had said. "One part was the easy, the other not so much." It was the other part that Marondaria needed Nisilna for. Nisilna was in her room pouring over and through her reference books. While Marondaria always enjoyed watching her long-ago student attempt to untangle a difficult problem about the arcane arts. Working on this particular problem was less interesting to observe, so Marondaria wandered out onto Nislina's balcony. The drone and the smells of the streets below were electric. The never ending throng of revelers moving and buzzing like a beehive of evening activities reminded Marondaria of her long ago forgotten home of Hykor. She had lived in a rich home on the water front where the streets were seemingly permanently filled with adventurers and ruffians of the seas. Many a night she would stand on a balcony and drink in the energy yet too afraid to join in. Yet though she was now not only light years from from her former home, she was even further away in the oceans of time that had long ago swallowed up Hykor and world it belonged and changed it into the same thing, except with electric lights and starships. Marondaria allowed her mind to wander, mostly because NiSilna's mind was quite loud as she was cross referencing several of her books at the same time, but also this scene felt so familiar. It was another balcony as this where she finaly crossed the line into the world of the the arcane by using magic to stun a captain-general and his guards to make her escape. Where the Hykorian woman named Julianus-olivium-Vestonica would cease and "Marondaria" begin. Where a onyx-haired male elf Wizard named Dusilme' would enter her orbit and never quite leave. She never was certain of what his interest was, her magic, her body, or just to kill one more meddling half-elf getting in his way. He was beautiful,terrifying, and lethal. "Marondaria!" interrupted Nisilna. "I need you back here now." she added. Without opening her eyes Marondaria nodded slightly. "Your apprentice..Allis is it? Why could you have not found one like, me say, one that doesn't require a focal?" Asked Nisilna. "There are no more like you my child. Only those like Allis. What type of focal does she need?" Asked Marondaria eyes still closed. "Sadly, my most wise and learned mentor never taught me about them, as neither she or I could use one." Nisilna began in a snarky tone. "And in the time since, my own studies never got further than learning of the tome, "Labrius Foci" written long before me by a wizard called Blackhearst. It's supposed to be "The" book about identification and enchanting them. But I could never locate it myself." stated NiSilna flatly. "Then I'll have to ask him then, and by the by, his name isn't Blackhearst. It's his Dramatis personae." Marondaria said softly. "He's alive?..He'd be..." stuttered Nisilna. "Yes...on both counts. Keep Allis busy and safe till I return. If I don't....Well...." Marondaria trailed off in thought. "Yes Mistress." replied Nisilna only partly understanding.
