Make way for the King of Steam!

(And as Eekdog pointed out, that driver had better make way for ANY train and stay off the tracks!)

Saw a couple of YouTube vids on the Big Boy out on the modern rails, assisted by a couple of Amtrak locos. Thrilling stuff!

Uh oh, hope there's not a second train coming any time soon! Maybe the driver just wanted a closer look at the Big Boy and doesn't realize the danger he's in! Nice scene :-)

This is awesome, Bill! Great job on this wonderful scene!

I saw the actual Big Boy many years ago when it passed through the northeast railyard in Kansas City.. Sadly, it was at night, so I didn't get any good photos of it, but it was very impressive. We were about 25 or so feet from the track (lots of railfans were there), and you could feel the wave of heat as it passed by.
