Description
A render from another story I had been outlining. I didn't exactly have a story in mind when I started this render. The story started to develop as I was putting it together. An excerpt from the scene:
“I grew up on tales about you. The decimator of Orens. The Bane of Kaldric-Vor. The Black Hammer. A man bred of death and destruction. A man who exiled himself to this decrepit, once-holy place, working himself into a sweat until he can barely stand. You don’t look much like a one-man army.”
“And what does it matter to a pup like you?” he asked.
“Curiosity,” she said, grinning.
“And how did a scrap of a kid wander into a place like this? Why the hell are you here?”
Her grin broadened. “Looking for a ghost.”
The girl's hair (I call her Lilia) is actually a combination of Sybel hair and a Brusheezy brush. I ended up picking up a hair to use for her in other renders. It's not exactly the same, but I'm happy with it. I had to do a lot of work with the male character's hair (I call him Talgis), as there was some odd poke-through going on with his scalp. This was probably one of the most intensive post-works I've done. Scars/blood/dirt were all added in Flame Painter 4.

Thank you! I'll definitely be adding more.

Good job on the postwork - I can't tell it wasn't part of the texture to start with. Great image and story.

I like all your renders. And I am impressed by the way you use Flame Painter, that I have but never find the time to learn properly. IMHO, underrated and not enough known, but great piece of software!
