Thank you all for your recent comments while I went for cataract surgery.
Both eyes need to be done, but they've just done the left for the moment. Very smooth operation, the only downside being an hour's travel and a fair bit of sitting around waiting to be seen to! Sight in left eye so much brighter, but focus not yet settled, so it may be a while before everything's perfect. Four weeks of eye drops 4x daily. When they're happy they'll call me for the second op.
So we're almost back to normal and ready to look at your recent work and make some comments!

Glad to hear the first half of the process went well! Apparently Chomper wasn't aware of your speedy recovery, so if you hear clanking sounds coming from your runtime, you know where to find him :-)
