a super looking character and superb render looking at the quality of the materials; think the cast iron look to the axe spoils it though, but then I've yet to see a blade edge that's struck me as looking sharp

Well, this isn't just another symmetric, pretty face. Love the character you've created, even down to the gross teeth, which are....totally appropriate for him.
