Description

I've re-arranged an old model of mine an played a bit with the lights. And now here's the result: A small model of a cannon placed on Laminate. It took approx. 30 Minutes to render it.

@handige_harrie: The laminat-texture was made with 2 Bhodinut-channel shaders (Noise and Tiles) and a Fusion-Shader.

Fantastic! I am new to Cinema ... do you have any tips regarding the lighting of scenes like this? I'm ok on the modelling and textures, but can never seem to get the lighting right...

@steve123: Any tips about lightning... hmmm. Well it is difficult to write down general settings, because it is not very easy for me to light scenes. But I own a cool book about that. "Rendering and lightning" by Jeremy Birn. Maybe you should read that? I did, and it rocks...

Excellent! I am learning Cinema v7. I would love to know how you got such great brass and steel reflectivity, for my own renderings in the future. What were your settings? Great lighting too!

@all interested Cinema-users: I see that you want some more informations about this scene. So I'll try to create something like a "tutorial" for this scene and I'll put it on my website. - So, when I'm ready I'll let you know here.. or maybe in the forum?

This is brilliant. It looks just like one of those cast miniatures that you can buy from some shops. You should really send this in to the 3D World Magazine gallery.
