And now pinks and blues, a rainbow bug...with more golds and wonderful green eyebrows. Actually, if you think of the bug facing us (which it's not), those luminous green pieces on the top could be eyes...but...it's facing the other way. These segments---in the torso---are translucent, and 'pearl'-like: They're like stained, tinted glass. Beautiful light. And the wings are gorgeous. And the gold fits the regal arrays here. Your background is like a toned-down, grayed-out pink; so it picks up some of the bug, but also stays in the background. More fine contrasts. Beautiful piece, Tom. I can't get over how much variety you get in this series. It's mesmerizing.
