Description
Here we are on top of fort Douamont. This fort was fired upon with anger by the French and the Germans during WWI. Even inside the fort.

It looks so peaceful now, it's hard to imagine the violent past - or the reason for it to exist. Beautiful photo.

Don't stray too far from the beaten paths, lots of un exploded munitions! And there a warning about life firing on Mondays and Tuesdays.
