Description

Every now and then I like to challenge myself and see what I can do with older assets. see if I can make art that satisfies with Vicky 4. I think this turned out pretty nice, although I am reminded of just how much better Gen 8 is. No surprise, really, but its good to go bad and see how far we've come. iray shaders applied. I'm forgetting with gen4 character morph I used. the hardest part was finding a hair mesh that wasn't pure garbage. Hope this sparks a story in your mind.

Nice light and shade, it's very dramatic. Yep, we have come a long way from V4/M4 with a lot of improvements. Personally, I think the G3 figures are the most versatile when combined with the GenX2 plugin, but I'm liking G8. Still, there were a lot of good characters from V4 I think I may need to yank out of the archives.

The characters spruce up nicely. More difficult to find hair meshes that do the same. Maybe sickleyield will make a converter for that, lol

Well, the Iray shaders might help to make this look good in 2020, but completely disregarding the challenge of using an older character base model, this is still a perfectly gorgeous render with great lighting--the only nitpicking being the lower belt with its unfavourably low-res curve.

Thank you. I thought it added just enough color. I was thankful the mesh took the shader as well as it did. I tried it with a different hair, and it came out looking like plastic ribbons.
