Description
This was an experiment with light and focus, using simple planes and just three light sources. The first is a cyclinder, the second a rim light from the "Ultra Genesis Box Lights" set, and the third a spotlight from that same set.
Color temp set to 8000, and each light adjusted in luminosity until it felt right.
The plane got a bump map from "Tiles Aplenty," and then were colored black. The gloss was upped. Then I used the DOF to make her crips, and the wall look more mysterious. Where could she be? Lol.
No headlamp, obviously, and the enviroment was set to "Scene Lights Only."
I think the experiment was a success. And not I seem to have created a new character to play with in the future. I'm calling her "Ulaya." She's borrowing skin texture from the very lovely Mariah, and the head shape was based off of the equally lovely Uchenna. Makeup elements from both. I did the body sculpting myself within Daz.

That's some good lighting. Dark figures on dark backgrounds can be difficult to get right. She pops right out.

I've just switched (mostly) to DAZ and the lighting is the most difficult part to get right. This is perfect. Love the figure you've created.

Thank you. I've been working with the software since October 23rd, 2018.
Lighting has been a bit of a focus for me. Good lighting takes it from "looking like Daz art" to "wow, that's cool art!"
And it's very therapeutic.

Really nicely done....great image....lighting will always be number one...no matter what software you use....it's a make or break thing... and there are many sorts of light and lighting....then textures and materials composition as so on....really dose depend on what you want to achieve.....
