Description

Zbrush creation. I Sculpted then alpha textured the body then poly painted this model then posed. No rendering required. I used zsphere rigging for posing this T-Rex and the Tyrannobot Rex instead of masking and posing as I did with previous zbrush creations. I will probably end up using both from now on. I think I will attempt some hard surface modeling sometime in the near future as well. Some really cool looking youtube video's on hard surface modeling. Zbrush is a lot of fun. Thanks for looking as always and thanks for your comments. Post work Photoshop Credits: Edge-CGI 3D Tutorials and more!

You have unique abilities in creating complex creatures from zero, this is much above my skills. This T-Rex looks so realistic, so muscular and especially so alert. If I was in that cave, I will be his next meal next second. How are you getting the shadows without rendering? Absolutely fascinating! picture!

Zbrush does have a render tool but nothing like any 3D software I have ever used so it is difficult to explain. You can Google zbrush render tool for better explaination. It is very different than Poser, Bryce, 3D Studio Max, Lightwave, Blender etc. It is not always required and does add shadow to the model. There are two modes I use in zbrush Best for 2D and BPR for 3D only. It takes about 5-15 seconds to render. The shadow on the ground was created in Photoshop.
