Description
As soon as I saw the Vac U Bot freebie by Coflek Gnorg, I imagined this scene, and I figured… somebody’s gotta do this!
I don’t have the patience for animation, or for waiting for animations to render, so even though I came up with various ways to improve this while it was rendering, I realized I was NOT going to wait for a re-render! I rendered it in Firefly to M4V format, so I couldn’t send it to the Queue Manager, and for the entire length of the render all I could think about were all the things I wanted to do in Poser but couldn’t b/c it was busy! Of course, as soon as Poser wasn’t busy any more, I forgot all about whatever had felt so urgent before :-)
Rendered in July 2020 in Poser Pro 11 Firefly at 4000 × 2250 pixels, using direct lighting (four inverse-square point lights and an IBL light). Imported into iMovie, added my signature and a free vacuum sound effect from BigSoundBank.com, and slowed the clip a bit. Then exported to MP4 format at 1920 x 1080. View full size on my blog.

How many frames per second is the animation ? I let my computer do night shift rendering while I sleep... In the morning the individual frames are usually ready to go to the editor.

I think it was set to 15 fps (with 140 frames total). If I had known far enough in advance that I wanted to do this animation, I would've planned it so that it could render after I went to sleep. But it was a spur of the moment thing, and once Poser got to about frame 20, I realized two things: I should've done a smaller test render first, and I might as well let the whole thing finish so I can move on to other projects. My wife cracked up when she saw it, and I hope it brings a chuckle to a few of you as well!

I'm giggling!!
my kitties won't ride the roomba, tho.
I told them it was in the Kitty Manifesto. They said it was in the optional part, and they opted NOT!

The YouTube video of a cat riding a Roomba while wearing a shark costume is my wife's all-time favorite giggle maker. If only I'd had a shark costume for the Mill Cat!! Perhaps your cats missed the clause that states that opting out of Roomba-riding might lead to strictly enforced shark costume wearing (which might then lead to Roomba-riding at a whole new level of shame, or lack thereof :-)

Would be more interesting if the cat kept looking at the camera...

But then it wouldn't be like the famous YouTube videos of cats riding Roombas, which were my inspiration :-)
