Description
As ALWAYS, thank you SO much for stopping by to share my visions! Your thoughts and favs truly mean the world to me!! But if it weren't for nonsense, I'd have no sense at all!!
The temple Vikkies were invited to the semi-bi-annual Sword Slingers Ball. It’s a gala affair with long swords, bastard swords, hand-and-a-half-swords, rapiers, Claymores, epees for the limp wristed, short swords, spell swords, Named Swords, (you wouldn’t believe how many are named “Excalibur”), broadswords, cutlasses, falchions, and scimitars. Katanas and tantos, even. Swords of every nationality and ethnicity. Swords everywhere. And spoiling the moment, sword salesmen are also everywhere. Sword Credit managers, Sword Loan Program Mangers. Hawking swords, ogling Vikkies.
In long standing tradition, the Vikkies wear masks to these events. They come, play with the cutlery, dance, gossip and leave. Their job is to distract the sales staff while the Temple Mothers negotiate rock bottom prices for new gear.
No pixels were harmed in the making of this image, but Ma Genta put in an appearance to find out why the reds were no longer on strike. Naturally, everyone lied to her, but she did pick up a few clues to explain their continued good behavior. So far, she has ruled out Hypnotism and the preposterous notion they had all turned over a new leaf and become fine up-standing pixel citizens. Upstanding by Pixel standards, of course.

Lovely fantasy group ... I hope that stack of books doesn't collapse! Nice work.

Each one of these characters would make an amazing portrait--so much to see!

A very fun and campy scene! Nice population of characters too! Love the antics in your descriptive as well! Always fun to read! Many fine kudos on this days delivery! I see it wasn't breached too badly and survived the procedure!

What? They didn't attend in the buff? What kind of Vickie - Sword ball is this anyway? I want my money back! 🤣 Or at least a 20% off coupon on my next Claymore....
I lifted an actual full-scale claymore reproduction at a Renaissance Festival many years ago... How the he## did anyone fight with one of those things? If you missed the first swing, you'd be into next week bringing it back around for another try....
As usual, a fun, delightful, and beautifully done scene, my friend! Glad the reds are back, no matter the reason!

The ladies have some wonderfully creative outfits for this masquerade. Nicely done!

I see the temple Vikkies are all decked out in their best swordplay attire, right down to their glorious headwear! The one on the right has perhaps engaged in some pre-ball swordplay, based on the state of her purple stockings :-) Should swords ever fail them, it looks like all three have formidable weapons built right into their fingertips as well! Fun scene!

Heartstopping beauties! Your gorgeous ladies have such life even in still. Beautiful art, my friend, quite a talent you have!

Ramblings of a random Temple staff pixel...
I was so excited to go to the Sword Slingers masquerade after party, but I needed to get my book of the latest and coolest sword party outfits. When I walked into my room there were three Vikkies taking a smoke break from the ball. Being a very shy person I just stood there trying to think of something cool to say. Then I noticed two of them had grabbed some of my books and were using them for a chair, a stool, a chaool, a stoair? Then worst of all, I noticed the book I was looking for was now supporting sweet Vikkie butt. The way they were looking at me turned my insides to jelly, so I stamered something low and incoherent, turned and left the room as quickly as possible. Looks like I'm going to have to go to plan B. That means a trip to St Pixels and a talk with Ma Genta, she will have some trendy pixel masquerade mask ideas, I'm sure of it...
Thanks for the fun in the pixelverse An-D! Even a virtual smile helps in these times...

Time has no limits, and neither does this scene, it's endless and awesome.

Amazing scene and wonderful outfits, love it!!!

Aha! So there's room for a sword rental business then! I see none was mentioned! And Lynn is right, each one of them would make a superb portrait.

excellent

I'm with Lynn too, each one is a great and really varied character. And perpetualrevision speaks of their nails---which could substitute for swords. They could. This is a like a Carnevale bunch with great steampunk attire, and a whole lot else (some native american motifs, a real array of clothings and shoes and jewelry, a gas mask, netting, snake-like forms, etc etc). All in front of a great, huge steampunk clock, and in postures like they're in a major photoshoot. A real cornucopia---terrific job on this. There's so much to look at. (There's a creature under the left-most woman---like a stuffed-fish with polka dots...) Love it.
