Update: I don't know if I'm going to continue "The Epidemic" after all. My Chapter 2 outline is out-of-date in relation to current events, and I don't have an idea how to address the collective current American situation without sounding preachy (although I probably went there already with Wendacora's dressing down of her unit and Tempestt specifically). Plus I've been bogged down dealing with work and other things. I may address these things in a related art piece later.

Hey if you gotta go preachy, go peachy! That's kinda one of the things art and stories are for. Besides, with wave one still going on strong and in fact increasing, maybe people need to get preached at. How many people need to get flattened before they start taking this seriously?

And as for this present reality: if we EVER get to the Seventh Millennium, our descendents and Karsha's cohorts will look back on this period and silently ask "How did humanity survive with so many Luddites?" (Yes, that's too kind a description; for the sake of my blood pressure I'll let other people be colorful with theirs.) Going to leave that there for now.
