Description
Its five years since we lost one of my all time heroes, the legendary BBKing, so here's just a simple thanks to his many decades of fine music and endless good humour.
The eagle eyed among you will note this is an ES335, not a 345/Lucille, but its close enough for jazz...or blues in this case! Thanks to Thmacr for the fine guitar freebie.

Before I even read the description, first thought in my head is "BB King!" (and I had not seen the title). Great tribute, Joe. I love the camera angle, it really emphasizes the guitar which, as we know, was as much a "person" as the legend himself (he named it after all didn't he?) Awesome tribute. :)

Thanks Bella... the pose is based on a photo of him, with his typical cocked head stance while playing/

Very cool image....my guitar was the first thing i bought, a Kramer Baretta Marilyn Monroe(Dennis Kline graphic) 1986 original....still have it....if you play you will know.....Great tribute...to an outstanding artist....!!
JoeJarrah
Thanks Darkglass. I remember those Kramers... from the days when the superstrat was king, pointy headstocks deriguer, etc. Mu chops were never up to a guitar like that lol! (says the bloke wielding a hutchins triple neck...)

Beautiful! B.B. is certainly missed. Fantasric work. Seems we're both doing blues musicians today, lol. Sonja would love to jam with the King.
JoeJarrah
Thanks Lyle. That would be a dream Jam!

The thrill is not gone when i look this picture.
Madbat
As long as his music survives, the thrill remains.
paul_gormley
a fine image with the stark light and muted colours and they work all the better with nothing to distract the eye in the background

Your new image looks really very beautiful and well done, I wish you and yours a nice Saturday evening, take care and stay healthy! PS. Please excuse my copy/paste comments, unfortunately it is not possible for me to sit for a long time because of the constant pain (damaged lumbar vertebrae pressing on a nerve), but I still want to have a look at your new artworks! Up to my scanner appointment (MRI) I drag myself from day to day as well through as it goes.
