its a natrix natrix / ring snake or grass snake, they are harmless for us but not for frogs....
I was standing just over her had and haven't have the right lens on the camera, anyway I was brave and did the photo! 😁

a very rich pov, i love the angle...The snake comes out of the water, and pushes his head into the rock. The water feels like silk, here, and it's a great contrast to the rough stone surface, and to the scales of the snake. Also, you colored this a gold-sepia, which makes the snake look royal...and it gives the photo an old, venerable look. When I see this large-size, it really is 3 worlds: The silky water, the rough stone, and the plates and scales of the snake. A really fine composition, Priska. 3 different worlds...

very good macro and subject. such a beneficial snake and so many people go out of their way to stomp. they have been a casualty of my lawn mower, but not on intention
