Description
This sand sailor rides her wind runner through the deserted streets of a desert community. Sensible people stay indoors until the sun gets low and temperatures drop.
This is the 3-D-C Sand World, a set of buildings, streets and props to build desert communities. I never built much with it. Mainly I didn’t like how the sand looked. It is too coarse and grainy to look real. That’s a common error by those who have not seen desert sand close up. At least in Egypt, where they have a lot of it, the sand is as fine as flour. It is picked up by the wind and coats everything. So I used the sand material from the Dimension3D materials set. See credits. The ground texture is sand from TerraDome 1, brightened up in the material room to match. After you fix the sand, the rest of the set looks great.
Tech note: If you don’t like the look of a texture image, you can connect it through an hsv node which gives you lots of control. The hsv node is found in math.
See credits for other details.
Thanks for looking and keep safe.

I have the Wind Runner in Wish List -- it's such a neat looking vehicle! She looks completely in control of it as she glides through the desert town. Wow, in that heat I can understand the bikini, but in that much sand, I think I'd want to be in a full body suit, as sand tends to get everywhere! Fun desert scene :-)
