Description

Chester Zoo, last weekend. This poor Camel is being pestered by a couple of Jackdaws. There is an obvious wound on it's left hoof, which one bird is taking advantage of. The one on it's head is helping itself to flies etc.. You will also notice some kind of protective covering on it,s flank (obviously a sore area). The Zoo has only recently re-opened (closed due to Covid) and probably would have gone under if it was not for the many donations from the public. I do hope the keepers realise the problem with the foot, sooner rather than later.

That's so sad. Poor camel. I hope he gets better soon.
