Description

Well, yes, sir. You seem to have the best qualities of a fighting soldier that the Fatherland finds most desirable. Your dna was collected at your last physical and run through our process. Standing here in front of you is a perfect, and might I say, much cleaner copy of you. He just needs training to become the rough and tough soldier that you pride yourself in being. Well he looks like a sissy to me. Look at that skin. Not a blemish nick, scar or wart on it anywhere that I can see. And where did he work out. In some girl gym where they practice lifting margaritas instead of weights? Well, sir, he did only come out of the tank yesterday. We wanted you to be here so we could compare him to you and see how well the genetics held up. We still have a lot of tests to run on him. Might you be conducive to staying here for awhile so that we can see how well he measures up after we have trained him for, oh, lets see, perhaps a month or two? Hey, you lab rat! I got a life you know. Got lots of duties to perform for the Fatherland. Don't think my superiors would approve of me shirking my duties and slumming around here for that long. Oh don't worry about that. We have clearances from the highest command. But we don't want you here against your will. That would really skew the results of our tests. Everything must work with the least amount of coercion. So, do you think we can count on you to assist us in the program to create the perfect soldier? Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a little time off. But the first time I think you guys are tying to pull something funny, I'm outa here! And further more why does that guy have better hair than me anyway? M3 and LoRez characters. Rendered in Poser 2014 pro. Post work in Photoshop 7. Thank you for taking a peek! Your support is greatly appreciated!

Great little scene you've presented, RRD.

If you haven't already, check out "Second Chance" on Hulu. The show only ran one season, sadly, but the text reminded me a bit of it.

That would be freaky, to see a "full grown" clone of oneself fresh from a "tank"! And even more so to watch it go through training! Fun scene :-)

Not far off the mark from where genetics and technology are trying to get to. If I was tough human guy I might be a little concerned. All those scars and nicks you’re talking about have taken a toll on you. With a bit of training he just might kick your ass. So keep a few moves in reserve you might need them. This is a great and fun piece of art to view.

I'm being cloned as I type this comment. That way I can produce twice as many animations that nobody wants to see. lol Curious to know what settings you have for rendering. I use Poser 2014 Pro as well.

For starters, the vast majority of my images start out in a poser window set for 1150 x 800 units. Once I finish assembling my scene, I bump up the size to 2500 x 1739 dip 72 dpi.

My render settings use Firefly bumped up as far to the right as it will go. In the manual settings, I have 'cast shadows', 'raytracing', 'irradiance caching' and 'used displacement maps' checked.

For outside images, I use two lights. One I label 'sun' and have shadows checked, ray trace shadow and shadow blur radius set at between 3 and 8, and intensity set at between 70 and 85%. Second light I set at between 45 and 70 with no shadows.

Interior images, I use point lights and have shadows checked with ray trace shadows set at around 3 or 4. Sometimes higher. Depending on whether I am using a background photo with shadows already showing, I play with shadow intensity to try and match what the image has.

Other than that, I don't do a whole lot. I try to keep it as simple as possible. Don't want to overwork my little pea brain too much. LOL. Thanks for asking. And thanks for the comment. Very much appreciated. I hope your clone is as creative as you are. Best of luck in that department.

It takes more than a bit of DNA to make a soldier, but he already knows that you can't clone experience.
