Again, a typical cold war troop exercise scene in Germany in the may be 60ies or 70ies...
A so called "Jagdpanzer Kanone" hiding behind a wall and scrubs to stop the red hordes. Well, try to stop... The Kanonenjagdpanzer was developed with the experience of the ww2 models of same kind. It was the last tank destroyer of this design. The last tanks were rebuild as artillery observation tanks in the 90ies. The were two additional versions as guided missile equipped tank destroyers, one with SS.11 and one with HOT missile.
During the cold war there were ten of thousands tanks around in Europe and every autumn after the harvests there were the big exercises in whole Europe. We lived with the knowledge that we all could be nuked in every minute...
