"Automatic! Works so smooth, she almost drives herself."

This is a very hip and happening scene my friend. Back when the daily driver was a car you actually wanted to drive every day. A car that left you feeling connected to the road instead of isolated from it.

Picked up a rental today. I was in a wreck on Saturday. Poor Durango is totaled. I'm okay, and so were the people in the other car. Anyway, picked up a rental today and it's too new. Everything is digital. Push-button start. Really odd driving it.

LyleAryn put it best: "Back when the daily driver was a car you actually wanted to drive every day. A car that left you feeling connected to the road instead of isolated from it." Gawd I miss "real" cars!!! I learned to drive in a 1975 Buick Century (High School Driver's Ed) and my first car was a 1965 Chevrolet Impala sport coupe.

I was actually only a year out on the model year! lol Figured it was a '55! The only car in all the world I recognise, because I took a liking to the Oldsmobile marque as a teen! Gorgeous!

Fine image. I don't know that I agree that cars of old were better driving cars, the joy is a smooth ride on an open road.

I love this, Bill! This has the look and feel of one of those wonderful travel postcards from back in the '50s - the ones you'd see in a rack in the office of a motel. I had a bunch of those back in the day... Wish I had them now..

Anyway, you did a great job on this!
