Description

Iron Monkey and Captain Rusty Bottom make a hasty exit after using one of the captain’s loose bolts to break out of the jail cell they were so wrongfully detained within. (I’ve had this Underground Communications set for 3+ years and finally thought of a scene for it!) Rendered in August 2020 in Poser Pro 11 Firefly at 4400 × 2475 pixels, using direct lighting (seven inverse-square point lights and an IBL light) with Depth Cue atmosphere enabled. Postwork in Photoshop and ON1. View full size on my blog. ==CREDITS== SCENE: 1971s Underground Communications; TD2 water plane; Fog props by me. CHARACTER: Iron Monkey and Captain Rusty Bottom by TheAntFarm.

Excellent scene with superior lighting. Fine render, too. Wondering how you did the fog prop. Very effective. So much more realistic than post work.

I made it in my main modeling app ( Cheetah3D for Mac), using a rectangular plane and a particle generator to randomize position and rotation of around 40 "instances" of the plane. It has five material zones, randomly dispersed, so I can put a slightly different fog transparency on each.

I just took a screenshot of it in Poser in wireframe view, so hopefully this works: screenshot

The more I look at them, the more I see them moving. This is like an animation still for me. Gorgeous work :)

It is a wonderful application of a very cool setting. With the addition of your fun characters it becomes very unique and fun to view. Great imagination at work here.
