Description
Shortly after I made a set of dog toys to give away as freebies, I tried to set up a scene with two baby dragons playing with the rope toy, but I could never get it to work the way I wanted. I must’ve tried a dozen different background props, but the scene just felt too boring. As part of the process of learning what Painnt can do, I’ve been using it on various WIP scenes that I’d basically given up on, and I’ve been delighted with some of the results, including this one!
Rendered in August 2020 in Poser Pro 11 Firefly at 3200 x 1800 pixels (with Toon Outline:Thin Pen enabled*). View the original render as well as the full size version on my blog.
* I enabled the toon outline feature so that Painnt could "see" the rope toy, as it was kinda disappearing in the effect before I did that.

SCENE: Rock Formation 05 by DGDesigns; Rope toy from my Dog Toys freebie.

This is truly magnificent! Your last few art pieces in this style remind me of a very high quality fantasy book. These works have a really nice warm feel to them. Sort of remind me of the high quality wood engravings of old time books before new printing techniques came into play. Love this style. Seriously many many fine accolades and fine praises from me to you!

Thank you for the kind comments! I really love some of the styles I can get from the Painnt app, and I feel much of the credit goes to the app rather than to me! I don't want to over-do it with the painterly effects, but for some kinds of scenes it makes such an improvement. And I do love making "storybook illustration" types of scenes like this :-)

This is exceptional work. Sadly, I just don't have the handle on Poser I used to, but works like this are such an inspiration. Great work! :)

Cute and oh so grand that you found a new use.Post is an amazing place to work and can save you a ton of money on nic-naks that may soon end up in the darkest corners of our run times. Well done.

I don't know about saving money on nicknacks, since the postwork effect only works on whatever items were already in the rendered scene. But having this kind of painterly postwork available means I'm now free to use a bunch of props I would've previously considered to be too "quality challenged" to use in a regular render! My head was already spinning with the thousands of possibilities for renders using what's in my 400GB runtime, and now with the new possibilities brought by Painnt, it's threatening to spin right off! There just aren't enough hours in the day... Thanks for your comment!
